Slow down traffic past school – 20 mph – www.20splentyorg

No footpath, very dangerous for pedestrians on bends where cars cannot see you until late.

A large section of main road without a cycle lane - incredibly dangerous with many near misses.

When you come out of this right of way the pavement is narrow and overgrown, improvement is needed.

There should be a consistent cycleway from around the railway station in Witham to the Maltings estate, one option is along Newland Street.

Narrow road and lots of cyclists and walkers use it

With 3 schools finishing within around 15 minutes & having to walk around Lister Road from the infant's the whole route needs to become wider. It's impossible to distance along this route

If this was a new estate then it would be a 20 mph zone so the speed limit needs to be reduced to modern standards.

With narrow pavements and many businesses along the High Street the speed limit needs to be reduced to 20mph. This would also discourage rat runners avoiding the A12,

Such a dangerous place to walk, this is a fatal accident waiting to happen

This notice has appeared (August 2020) outside Tarka's Cafe at Baythorne Hall (which is the name of a small commercial development by the A1307 a few miles SE of Haverhill).

Dangerous twisty stretch of road, with no pavement.

There is no pavement here and barely any space to get off the road when walking. There are blind corners making it unsafe to walk round

Very dangerous road for walking, such lovely walks ruined by having to walk along the road with cars coming round bends at speed.

Tight S bend with no pavement makes for a very hazardous walk. A path on the western edge would be very welcome

As a regular walker, this stretch of road is very dangerous as it involves walking on the road dodging vehicles. As there are two bends you have to cross the road in order to be seen. It is unsafe and definitely needs a pavement.

Dangerous S bend that forces motorists on to the wrong side of the road when pedestrians are walking between 2 parts of the village

Path is always overgrown with mud, brambles and is some areas no path at all. Impossible for pushchair or even if walking. End up having to walk on dangerous road. There is no path all the way to Finchingfield?

Children that walk to the local primary school have to currently walk on the road! A small path would be so much safer

Extend the 30mph limit to Victoria Hill

Make Garretts Lane access only, drivers use this single track lane as a rat run to the Panfield Road and drive too fast.

Need a pavement between shop/village hall and Shalford School so parents can park at the hall and walk their children safely to the school.

This is a dangerous bend where lots of people walk, at this particular point there is no sensible verge or pavement but a pavement could be cut in to the bank on one side.

Very bad bends, no pavement on either side of road, very dangerous for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, runners

A path is very much needed along this road, it's very dangerous to walk along

Tight double bend leading into the village which needs a footpath for people to walk safely along, very dangerous set of bends for pedestrians which at some stage will result in an accident

No Footpath very dangerous !!!

No footpath around some very dangerous bends between Shalford and Wethersfield, Please implement a footpath before somebody is injured !!!

Steep hill so not wheelchair possible. No separated pedestrian route, requires a 0.6m path on the west verge

People regularly walk between Shalford and Wethersfield for the schools, shop and petting farm. There is no footpath and it is a bendy dangerous road. People often seen walking with children and pushing prams in the road. Accident waiting t ... [more]

Easthorpe Road is used as a rat run from Maldon Road B1022 to the A12 which causes unnecessary traffic along with high speeds along country lanes. These lanes are popular with cyclists keen to avoid traffic on the Maldon Road B1022. This ju ... [more]

Cycle way here is overgrown and therefore not useable

This is a very narrow road with several large potholes at the edges which mean that cyclists are having to swerve into the path of traffic to avoid them.

Reduce speed limit (currently 60mph) and put up cycling signs

Used by cyclist crossing between Great Tey & Coggeshall. 50 mph speed limit is too fast and needs reducing to 40 mph. Also frequent accidents and subsidence on this road. A lower speed limit would benefit vehicle safety as well.

50 mph speed limit is too fast for cyclist crossing, so needs to be reduced to 40 mph.

A very narrow pavementneeds widening , ideally to allow bikes as well as main road narrow with no verge making it dangerous to cycle from villages to Halstead

No pavement

There is a token bit of cycle lane that feeds onto a very dangerous bit of road that comes of a roundabout where traffic travels far too fast and hardly ever indicate so you have no idea what is going on. There is literally no safe way to ... [more]

There are no cycle lanes between Marks Farm roundabout and High Garrett

Lack of signage and the separation of cyclists and pedestrians has deteriorated. The paths should be red for cyclists and black for pedestrians but it is in very poor condition. Improved signage and resurfacing is required throughout river ... [more]

Foot path in terrible condition!! And a real trip Hazard on the bridge!

No foot path just a track!! Terrible!! Footpath needs improvement with a cycle lane to link Cressing Village!

Cars are using this as a cut through. No real pavement very dangerous when idiots speed up here. Add a cycle way and a decent foot path..

Bushes need a trim!!! Path is only singlefile at the moment... And on a very busy road..

I think it's convenient to construct a bike parking stop on the other side of the george yard shopping centre. For those travelling differently, not on the B1256.

Fallen Tree

Badly rutted and waterlogged byway

Poorly maintained byway, open to all traffic, including motorised vehicles, April to Sept.

A load of signs blocking the toucan crossing.

Trailer stuck in anti-motorcycle barrier where NCN 16 link goes south off the Flitch Way at Fairy Hall Drive.

Anti-motorcycle barrier on the exit from NCN 16 to London Road, Braintree.

Stuck again at Gatewoods Lane; we got through this one by taking Trailer's buggy wheel off, but it was a tight squeeze.

Near Braintree station
